i11.tinypic.com — Apparently apple takes the time to remove functional code like allowing you to input calendar events but doesn't bother to change the "iPhone is disabled" text shown when you lock your iPod and fail to type in the right password.

In order to get the iPhone lockout screen, you need to try to unlock the iTouch multiple times unsuccessfully. It will then display the screen in question.

Same thing happened when I locked my PSP.

I've still got the film on mine too. I just used an exacto-knife to cut the little tab that wraps around the bottom. Shazam! perfectly fit screen protector. Luckily mine came stuck on flush without any bubbles though.

Is the calendar stored locally, or does it require a network connection? The latter would certainly be a good reason to disable it.

Ha ha, good guess. I'm just a rampant capitalist. You can decide which is worse though.
