@mediaphileIt's true that it never fully returns to the state of an untouched cornea, but when it's fully healed, it's secured well enough that if an injury were to occur that is strong enough to dislodge it, the same injury would be strong enough to damage an untouched eye. Anyway, i was just trying to point out that they're not removing 'a part of your eye cornea which f**king belongs there."
Seriously. Whenever I consider Lasik I always end up reading the complications/risks section and get nervous about actually getting it done. I would have a very hard time being blind or having f**ked up vision.
I paid $1000 an eye in 2000, after being sucked in by LasikPlus's bait-and-switch radio ads. They claimed a price of $500 an eye, but when you went in, they told you that your type of eye required the newer laser type that cost twice as much. But still, the best money I ever spent, hands down. One caveat: when you hit your mid-40s you will start to lose your ability to see up close, and eventually need reading glasses. This happens regardless of whether or not you've had laser surgery.
