For those who are too lazy to go to the app page:Hijack is a full-featured Message Board app. Most people visit myriad message boards spread all over the internet. This will be the a forum user’s answer to RSS. It will replace the browser almost entirely, and compile all your favorite forums in an intuitive, clean, and sexy cocoa interface.Point Hijack to your forum of choice, and it will automatically keep tabs for you.It will bookmark where you left off in any thread. It will archive all the posts locally, so you can have your own records and search them using spotlight. It will automatically recognize avatars, smilies, post counts, user info, time stamps, images, video and links. If you visit a forum Hijack is not familiar with, you can enter a “training-mode” that tells Hijack what an avatar… a post… a time-stamp is… and so on. This would only need to be set once, then the user can choose to upload the template for other Hijack users to take advantage of. A growing library. It will take advantage of Leopard technologies like grammar checking, the new Text-to-Speech, and Core Graphics and Animation. The PlayMode, will utilize Core Animation to present threads to the user in a FrontRow style, eye-pleasing reading room, with support for Apple’s remote.iLife integration and FTP support. Tell Hijack where you want to upload your imagery, and it will automatically res-down the image to your desired resolution, upload it to your predetermined server and wrap it the necessary BB code.Favorites and Smart Folders. Favorite folders to keep track of threads you have started, replied to, or are just following. Smart folders to have Hijack automatically grab threads by keyword, user, or anything else. And a ton more.
Yeah, it's supposedly gonna be coded in Cocoa and utilize all the Core Image and Animation stuff built into OS X. Look up in the postings for a video concept of it, it's pretty sweet. It's Front Row meets BBSes.

Thank science! It was about time someone realized who the true winner should have been.
