mashable.com — As is often the case, the media is trying to extract the ?interesting bits? from Rupert Murdoch?s keynote interview at the McGraw-Hill Digital Media Summit in New York yesterday. The best tidbit seems to be that MySpace is pulling in nearly $25 million per month in ad revenue, with a growth rate of 30% per quarter.

Your comment shows how pout of tocuh with reality you are, and the fact that you made that comment PROVES you are wrong.Unless you were considering the redneck to be Digg.

Nice post phlux. I was also going to point out the Google funds, since it fits in nicely with the numbers we know from the Google deal.

Welcome to freedom. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and express it. If you disagree with it, guess what? That's your right. There is nothing to grasp here. It's an open exchange. Digg has it's problems: Spamming, gaming, etc... but someone thinking something is stupid while you disagree isn't a problem of the digg community. It's your problem. Calling someone an idiot for not being interested in what you or "the rest of the world" is interested in makes you out to be the fool, not them.

remmy..just check the stats yourself. It is at its lowest it has been since July.Of course, you will say "Alexa stats don't matter." Of course, all research disagrees with you, but that is OK.ESPECIALLY when you are dealing with the same web site. You can say "well, MySpace users are more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed." if you want. But the fact of the matter is, a significant number of Digg users with the Alexa toolbar installed stopped coming to Digg in the last few months. A very noticeable drop.

Remmy, you are kidding right? I called people idiots for calling MySpace users idiots. If they just said "I disagree that MYSpace is a good site" that is fine. But the average Digg assh**e (like you obviously) repeatedly makes it obvious that you think that you are BETTER than the average MySpace user. And that simply is not the case. The average Myspace user has kissed a girl, something that you will never do.

$25 million is all? I used to work for a portal that isn't nearly as large as MySpace and we made a lot more money than that. I would've figured their revenue would be closer to the $1B/ year level.
