blogs.zdnet.com— Because the building resembles the Ka'ba in Mecca, is called "Apple Mecca," is open 24 hours a day like the Ka'ba, and "contains bars selling alcoholic beverages."

You got to f**king be kidding me?Now these assh**es are getting offended BY A CUBE ???????????LOLOOLOLOLOLyou people just CONTINUE to out-do yourselves on a weekly basis. What's next? Offended by a stoplight because the colors on it are infidel colors?
I think that Apple knew this would happen when they started building the store. They knew Muslims would be upset so they put it underground in case there were any threats from them.
Dude, look up and down this page's comments. Muslims aren't offended by the Kaaba, and neither are the Muslim employees I met in the store, nor the 6 Muslims who waited in line with me. You're attacking Muslims for what they don't actually believe.
seeker nicely put, i respect religion although Im Atheist its just idiots that I dont respect and unfortuantly idiots are what a religion is based on. Like a society judging itself by its criminals it has.
I think that religious people have everything upside down. The basic order of things is that man or Mankind 'invented' God or god. Man has always been creating gods, so god exists only if man or a group of men believe he does. The notion a a monotheistic god is basically a diety that corresponds with the universe. In order to have godly nature man, and I mean man, says that god has a set of infinite powers, basically all the forces of nature. It's becoming an annoying occurrence when people, or a group of people, say that something offends their God. There's no god to offend. God as a 'thing', or entity, was invented by man some 2500 to 1600 years ago by men walking in the desert....possibly suffering from heatstroke or some other delusion that God spoke to them.Enough of this athiest lecturing. A cube is a cube -- it's also a rectangular shape. As a shape or even an icon, it doesn't belong to any group -- by now it surely is in the public domain. If the Apple cube was covered with a black tarp during construction -- it was be a true or a remarkable coincidence, but I say it's vile to think that architects have to self-censor themselves to avoid re-using cultural references, or referring to knowledge in the public domain. As I see it, the domain of cultural things certainly includes or at least overlaps with religious things -- but there is no need for this ridiculous censoring.
Yes, Muslims do freak out cos for them everything else is secondary when it comes to religion. Christians 'as of today's world' do NOT freak out even if their daughters have taken up the responsibility to 'please' their fathers as their mothers are busy pleasing others! Simple. Isnt it?
This is really a STUPID act ?made by apple?..Muslims are not offended by this strange construction because it looks like makkah, the offense is that they called it ?Makkah?.Makkah is a very sacred and special place to Muslims, so apple will do good by keeping it?s stupid-looking cube but they have no god damn right to use the name makkah. I just wonder how can the people at apple be so genius to design a Mac, and at the same time so STUPID to fall into very small, shallow, narrow-minded act of just wanting to offence Muslims by using the name http://www.kasino888.com of their sacred place.Really confusing!!

This is inaccurate. Muslims love the Apple Cube. See here:http://digg.com/apple/Apple_Cube_used_to_spread_religious_hatred_In_reality_Muslims_love_it

The NeXT cube looks much more like the Ka'ba than the Apple cube.http://www.channelu.com/Turbo/NeXT/i/cube1a.jpg
