Um yeah I do, I listen to a lot of whole albums, I happen to like a little of everything. One perfect example would be Jay-Z's American Gangster, No way "Hello Brokin Feat. Lil'Wayne" even belongs on the album, on top of that there is track thats 2 years old that didnt make the cut for The Black Album. I was only put on there to fill out the album.
As I am the "White Star exec." of whom you speak, what I actually said was that Music INDUSTRY 1.0 is dead, but, if you check, I've been saying it for over 8 years, every chance I got.
"...labels provide both filtering and then marketing of music. Without their help, promising artists would be lost in a sea of noise and would be almost impossible for music lovers to discover." You are wrong sir!
Wow! A little behind on the times buddy? This is not new to anyone that has been following the business end of the industry. I think it's funny this guy points out that music 1.0 "The creation of music" came with the development of the record industry....thats just shallow-headed, do some research. What about the classical, blues and jazz that came WAY before the schmuck's heading up the record industry decided to make a profit from musician's....
