clashmusic.com — Lily Allen's recent MySpace diatribe against file sharing has been met with approval by none other than Muse singer Matt Bellamy. The internet has changed the music industry in ways no one could have predicted. The free exchange of information has been a gold mine to bootleggers, with fans able to download their favorite albums for free.

Point 1Those two publicity whores only done this to make you download their crap thinking you are anti-estab!!!Point 2Any monkey who shouts in the jungle is giving it away free! When the jungle is todays internet, shout onto as many hard drives as you can. Shout monkey, SHOUT!Point 3My ears are unrestricted and subjected to some foul crap on occasions. If someone tells me "f**k off", I cannot unlisten this. By the same token I reserve the right to listen to whatever I want to listen to without cost. If you have a problem with this I will sue you for abusing my ears with your s**t and additionally sue you for using the internet media to tempt me into downloading your s**t for free.Learn from the tobacco companies. or die poor!I should make it clear, that I am not talking about the great David bellamy or the great Dave Allen.

Using a phrase like SHOOP DA WOOP is clearly a colloquialism. However, it's not meant to mean anything intelligent and isn't posed as such. It is, at its' very core, an idiotic phrase, used to make fun of people. Alternatively, you could point fingers at terms like IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER and I CAN HAZ CHEEZBURGER?, but none of these are used like "irregardless".A double negative is not a colloquialism. If you're going to cite something as idiotic as SHOOP DA WOOP, at least make sure it has a parallel to what you're defending. "Ain't" is a colloquialism, "Ain't not" is a double negative. Do you see the difference? Irregardless is an invalid word, combining irrespective and regardless. Common mistake, but at least man up and acknowledge it.

Yet you cannot "man up" and admit that you're wrong about the definition of a colloquialism. I never disagreed that "irregardless" is a double-negative, which is why it's considered improper, but that does not preclude it from also being a colloquialism. You said it yourself, it's an invalid word, which means it can certainly fall under the definition of, yes indeed, a colloquialism! What I'm trying to get at is this: your logic sucks. Work on it.Irregardless, I was well aware that "irregardless" is technically improper, but I like to use it; just as I like to use "Folks" and "Aint" improperly. I feel they add a certain flair, or personality, to my comments. In conclusion, your mighty powers of google'd grammar rules are wasted here! There are thousands upon thousands of misspellings and truly horrendous grammatical errors out there in the Digg comments section! Go! Save them all!!http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-9796217-1.htmlLighten the f**k up, Grammar Nazi.
