tgdaily.com — The recently released Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 added more gestures to its gesture support for the multi-touch trackpad Macbook, i.e a twist gesture that lets users move through open tabs. However, Mozilla had to resort to reverse-engineering to enable gestures in Firefox on Macs as Apple has not been providing the necessary APIs for developers.

What? Apple deliberately trying to lockout other companies? This is totally precedented!

I have an 8 year old pentium 3 laptop, and I can do stuff like two finger scrolling and whatnot, as well as some 3 finger stuff. Synaptics touchpads have had such functionality for a long time. Unlike my laptop's touchpad, true multitouch touch pads can sense the location and pressure of each finger. Regular, non-multitouch touchpads can only sense how many fingers are touching, and the total pressure.(however, windows fails to makes use of this, usually)http://i34.tinypic.com/2ugnvnk.png

@ Skurt, RE: " whatever... You are in a Apple thread. If you have a 'real' computer that 'adults' use, why are you here? "Don't worry about Elranzer, he seems to be extremely agitated that anyone would DARE use anything else other than the OS that Elranzer uses to play games on...@ Skurt, RE: " mrBitch's convoluted set of instructions seemed a bit over the top, so I broke it down to a bit simpler set of steps. "Sorry, you're absolutely right... your instructions are a lot simpler. The only excuse I can give is that I use QuickSilver, and hardly ever use the top menu for ANYTHING anymore... so when I give out instructions it usually starts with "Spot light" since I assume that QuickSilver wouldn't be installed on their Mac...
