pcworld.com— Mozilla is considering just two more security updates for Firefox 2.0 before it retires the browser at the end of this year.

Perhaps an LTS policy is in need? Many enterprises that use Ubuntu simply stick to the LTS releases... maybe Firefox could release some builds which they will suport (security update wise) for a "long time"
Huh? Suit yourself. You like having a wasted 2" of space up at the top of the screen with a whole bar devoted to File Edit View etc? Just get compact menu, which turns the contents of that bar into an icon, then don't show the menubar toolbar, and that fixes 1 row of wasted space.I'm probably throwing pearls before swine.
The 3.0 awful awesome bar is what is keeping me back at 2.0. The 2.0 bar almost always lists the thing you want first. The 3.0 bar almost never does. The worst part is the 3.0 bar drop down only displays a few items so I can't even clean out the bad entries. It was easier to install Firefox 2.x than to sift through all the equally broken bar plugins.

My dad still uses Windows 98 SE and v3 doesn't run on it. :(

So we'll never find out what the hell they have to do to make it to 2.0.1?!?! Man, what a let-down.
