i agree with you there. maybe i dont want to spend $50 for my wife and I to be in a crowded room, with strangers. If the movie is worth it, I will buy the DVD, if not, then I will not support it.

but the public system is broken... hence the private player for only those who are part of the film academy that plays encrypted disks keyed to that player.. i.e very hard to bittorrent because DVD jon won't be getting one any time soon. I find it funny that they can't be bothered to do their "work" during the busy season of rating movies because it gets in the way of vacation!!! These people's million dollar salaries are in jeopardy and they complain about a player to protect the marketability of their work as being "inconvenient" it shows how truly rich and disconnected these people really are.
