Or more expensive depending on how much effort it take to recycle the plastic compared to making new plastic. And I am pretty certain the process of recycling paper is much worse that making new paper.

Skeptical at first blush, I read the article. Scanning quickly, the cynicism was easy to spot when these words leaped off the page ... "The struggling cell phone manufacturer has also teamed up with CarbonFund.org to offset the energy used in the manufacture, distribution and operation of each phone throughout its lifetime."Sorry . Carbon offsets are a scam, plain and simple. They do not replace the non-renewable resources used , nor do they magically remove the pollution created from the manufacture and transport of goods from the environment. The marketers are simply trying to leverage the genuine concerns that people have for the environment. This a complete and utter failure. Motorola wasn't on my radar before, but they are now. This offends me deeply. Better to boycott these chuckleheads, that they grasp that consumers aren't complete frikken morons all the time.

The razr propelled them into the history books but a short time after their rise, they switched to cheaper PCB/mainboard manufacturers. It was like night and day when the faults started occurring. I think it's a combination of hardware integration with their software. The company is bloated now and one hand doesn't talk to the other. When they change RAM manufacturers or specs, it can take months or years for the software to properly utilize the new module.
