news.yahoo.com — Apple Computer's newest MP3 player, the iPod nano, is receiving rave reviews and analy sts believe the device will solidify Apple's dominance in the competitive MP3 player market for at least another year. However, not everyone praises the device -- Motorola CEO Ed Zander had some harsh words for the nano in a recent interview.

He can say what he wants, meanwhile, Apple laughs all the way to the bank. He really should watch it though, I was under the impression that Apple and Motorola were in good together because of the ROKR. I must be wrong, or is it cingular's Zorro-man who really wears the pants in that relationship?

Radio is very useful for people who drive and need traffic info.Radio is useful for those who'd like to hear news and weather. As for podcasts... will you just call them what they are? MP3's you download. This comment was poor taste for a CEO. Although, I think that Motorola is less inclined to care about the American market as they are the rest of the world who is more dependent upon, and hungry for, cellular technology.

Am I the only person in the world that wants my electronics to do one thing but do them well?I dont want a damn hybrid phone that takes s**tty pictures, holds a bare handful of songs, with s**tty sound quality, and has tons of other crap on it.Let me put it this way, I want my Ipod to play music. I want my camera to take pictures, and I want my laptop to connect to the internet and I want my phone to communicate with people.I want my things to do what they are supposed and I want them to do them well, when you start jamming s**t together like this guy is preaching you lose quality all around.and even IF they could put together an Ipod/Phone/Laptop/Camera that worked at top quality all the time for everything, I wouldnt buy it. I like my things seperate.

Why do all of the iPod fan bois imediatley sa that people are jealous if they don't like any of the ipods. I like the iPod...the REGULAR ipod that has like 40 gigs of storage space and plays mp3s. The ipod nano is just STUPID, yes i've seen them, yes i've used them, i really don't CARE how small the damn thing is. If you want to actually start impressing people make the thing have an AM/FM tuner in it...have the fm modulator build into the thing, include a voice recorder, video playback, and support every single media format that there is. Then we'll talk.appearantly this is 'off topic' wtf? I like how if you set the filter to -3, anything said AGAINST the ipod is rated at least to a negative one, while ANYTHIING stupid piece of garbage FOR the ipod gets rated at +3. We need a system that requires several people to agree on a rating before we basically give everybody on digg the power to delete comments.

Well I think Zander is just mad the nano upstaged him. To ad to the discussion on iriver or ipod. Well I will never buy an apple product but thats for another time. Now I wont deny it the iPod is a very very good device and would buy one in a minute if 1) I supported apple 2) It wasint so damn expencive. If I buy an MP3 player it will be from Creative. They are pretty much an iPod with slightly better sound, REMOVEABLE/REPLACEABLE battery, and of course cheaper but most things are cheaper than apple.Ppl here complain who wants a FM radio. I have more mp3s then ever imagineable on my computer but I still love the radio. Sure I need to hear the annoying ads and promos but it gives me the chance to hear many songs I have never heard before and then I can go get a song I like in mp3 format. I guess you ppl defending your precious Apple trademark did not think of that

Jobs isn't worth over $6 billion, he's only worth $3.3 billion. Quite a big difference.http://www.macobserver.com/article/2005/09/23.5.shtml

I have an ipod nano, but that is only because my 30gb regular ipod freezes up if I try to run with it on. That, and the Nike+ is a pretty good gimmick. I still use my regular ipod at work / when I'm not working out and appreciate having a pretty decent library of songs, but the nano is definitely superior for working out with.As for the other features, I could care less. I'm not going to listen to the radio when I have the top 100 albums in my library right there, and I really don't care about listening to .flac, .oog, or any other format and I don't want to spend any time having to configure it.
