And here I was thinking my skates were heavy at nearly 7 lbs each. Though I suppose weight's not a problem since you're not intended to lift your feet if you're such a lazy bastard that you buy something like these.Of course the only reason he's the "proud owner" of these things, is because he's yet to actually use them.
There are actually small enough engines that you could tweek them and install them in rollerblades. The only problem is that the engines are a "bit pricey" and not everyone is skilled enough to do the install. In fact most people who could afford it (all of them being rich kids, of course) would most likely lose a finger...or hand. But it is completely possible to make compact, engine powered rollerblades, not only that but, with functioning brakes! Yes, just like the ones you see in air gear. So if any of you are accomplished mechanics and have a few grand to blow please...make sure to keep blueprints when you assemble it and send them to me.

Particulary since there only seems to be an engine on the right shoe.
