This is hardly news. It's something common in third world countries especially in Peru were 80% of the mothers are outside of marriage and most of them have 4+ children from different fathers.
Before you condemn someone like this, walk in their shoes for a week. Maybe she thought the child and all its brothers and sisters would die from starvation soon, so this was the families only hope. The mother may even justify to herself that the child would have a better life than what she could give the child.That said, how dare she not give up the child to the church so they could make 15,000 dollars off the kid in an adoption!
