10 bucks says that #1 site, al**iasoftware.com, is probably only at the top of the list due to some sort of spyware. There's no earthly reason why anyone would visit that crap 33 times. They advertise anti-spyware software.. what better way to direct traffic to an anti-spyware site than by spyware itself.
@feeserThe reason Clemson's website gets so many hits is that their IT department requires the installation of various software (including a novell suite) and when they distribute this stuff on an autorunning CD it also sets the home page on any browser you have to clemson.edu. Take it from a former Clemson student. Why anybody would go to the website other than that I have no idea, and why these kids aren't smart enough to change their default page ... well...
If, as I do, a visitor clears her browser cache, cookies, etc., every time she logs out of her browser program, how is a site to know “number of visits per user per month”? This whole concept (and post) reeks of effluvia.
I dont think this saying most visited or popular webpages, they are saying how often the user return to site monthly. So the top site, get visted 33 times by the individual per month. I would think that facebook/myspace/digg should be at the top, God, I check Digg 50 freakin times a day. comeon
@chompyadp.com is used to publish paystubs to their payroll customers. But more importantly, adp.com was probably bumped because of the US personal tax deadline.
