stopthedrugwar.org — A year ago this week, 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston was gunned down by Atlanta narcotics officers when she opened fire on them as they kicked down her door in a "no-knock" drug raid. The killing has had immense reverberations in the Atlanta area, especially since it opened a window on corrupt and questionable police practices in the drug squad.

"I know near me, one drug house was cached with automatic AK-47s"Another deplorable side effect of prohibition.

See the nice line in the sand they drew and divided this country against each other for the worst ways over this idiot war idea? How can you stop a war on drugs when you have the CIA importing the drugs and certain police reselling it back out to the streets for profit? All i can think about is all the lives that are and have been lost due to this line in the sand that was created! We are all supposed to be equal yet nobody is ever treated equal and evryone wants to be in control! How pathetic!

So basically you are advocating things like, "I'm only a social meth user.", because drugs are legalized? The harmful effects of drugs, comes from drugs. And when I say drugs, I'm refering to things like meth, coke, and things like that, not marijuana. Those hardcore drugs destroy a person to such a degree, that it doesn't matter what environment they are in, it's not going to help.I don't know why I'm getting dugg down, everything I've said is legitimate, apparently digg must have a bunch of coke and heroin addicts.

You are getting buried for dodging the real issue. Does the government have the right to tell us what to do with our own minds and bodies? Shouldn't the government ban fatty foods and soda by your own standards? I guess anyone that opposed Hitler must have been a Jew by your standards because there is no way anyone would stand up for the rights of something they are not...

Trying to debate a neocon is about as worth-while as debating a Nazi, they are just to blinded by hatred and fear to understand logic.

You did get the facts and you didn't like them so you accused us of "hyperbole and outrage", end of discussion.

If it wasn't baited then why didn't you give statistics on the drugs that have been seized or the criminals put in jail during the 40,000 raids? You got the answer you wanted because the poll was flawed.

No. Not Nazism. Blind obedience to the state when it is wrong. That transcends Nazism,
