I think that holds weight. Okami was gorgeous; any technical 'faults' (which would have been unacceptable in any other game) worked within the heavy style that permeated the game - the way foliage was actually just 2d images, for example. Okami succeeded in it's style, which lends it's graphics a lasting impression (I can imagine it being considered quite lovely decades to come).Right now, Heavy Rains' praise is for it's technical work, or at least what we can see.
A great game/movie, most likely, but screenshots are rare. Quantic Dream must show a lot more besides the fantastic video they presented (where a woman trespasses a serial killer's house).

I agree that this game doesn't look promising at all but I would harldy call it unoriginal. I am stuggling to think of a game like this.

The scene outside those windows was ridiculous. I'm not much of a fan of VGCats, but it reminded me of this.http://www.vgcats.com/comics/images/070119.jpg

Fanboys in general are raging dicks, regardless of their console/brand preference.

Astonishing game engine, but... yet more dull 'film noir' art style? Come on, it was dated and pointless when GTA 4 did it.
