In France you are prevented by law from working more than 35 hours a week - whether you want the extra income or not.

Medicare doesnt cover anything unless it is on the CMS contract. There are no manufacturers that could survive off of the Medicare allowable. None. R&D is expensive. Any government program will quench innovation. Do you agree?

It's worth noting that we Americans are paying 4x per capita when uninsured people are taken out of the equation. That could go a long way in explaining why we have a better system. "Better System" is also subjective. I, for one, have an excellent PPO plan. Any medical concern I have is taken care of expediently. The system works great for me. What's of concern is the huge percentage of our population that is uninsured. The system sucks for them. A lot of people end up in debt for the rest of their lives after having a major surgery. I feel tt's unjustifiable for such a thing to occur in this day and age. With some people living retardedly opulent lifestyles, if seems that at the very least we should be able to provide for some basic medical care.

This study is 100% Bunk! The doctors who did this study also conducted one in 2002 and found that the majority of doctors did not want national health care, the problem with this is that the 2 question surveys drastically differ in there 2nd question. I found this article, http://jaajoe.com/index.php?option=com_content&tas ... - 60% of Physicians Surveyed Oppose Switching to a National Health Care Plan, It's worth a read.
