washingtonpost.com — Single black women with college degrees outnumber single black men with college degrees almost 3 to 1 in major urban areas, according to a 2008 population survey by the U.S. Census Bureau. Given those numbers, any economist would advise them to start looking elsewhere. It's Econ 101 for the single, educated black woman.

Exactly why do black female graduates outnumber black male graduates 3 to 1 ? That's the question that needs to be answered here. As far as the article goes, you will find that for most civilised men it's as simple as this: women are beautiful, we don't care about skin colour.

It should be "Men don't find fat fugs dressed like they stole the clothes from a hooker than is ten years younger and five sizes smaller than them". The colour of your skin usually isn't the problem ladies.

I think its because they take mostly the overweight ugly white women. No one really misses them.

Zeth, I'm part Asian myself. I received all that crap despite not being completely white. It may not be simply a black and white matter, but one of homogeneity.

When I was in college I dated a lovely young woman that, at least her father considered to be black. (Her father was African-American, and very light skin-toned, and her mother was Japanese, and she was amazingly lovely - considering she had green eyes there was definitely some Caucasian DNA in her ancestry. While I consider myself Caucasian, I'm a mutt a little of everything - my skin tone was actually darker than hers at least after being in the sun. That was why I was surprised her father was so racist. We dated for a while, but her father couldn't accept his daughter dating a white guy. The issue came to a head when we were leaving college junior year for the summer. Her parents came to pick her up and I took them to dinner - sort of as a last ditch effort to see if there was a future. At some point her father made the statement that, his daughter had no "white" DNA in her and he didn' t want any of his children to be "half-breeds". Considering that she had spent the night with me, he was definitely wrong on the DNA issue. She looked at me, and I looked at her, and we both burst out laughing. Probably not the best idea, but that was one of the reasons I liked her so much - her sense of humor was as twisted as my own.Unfortunately, she couldn't accept not having her father's approval. But such is life. I'm glad to see that attitudes are changing - even if slightly, and slowly.

My parents married in the early 50's. Our family is Black Puerto Rican, Irish, and German, and I LOVE IT! My one sister married a white man, her children are beautiful blondes with a tan, my other sister married a black man and her boys are gorgeous and strong, one sister married a spanish man and her daughter is breath taking, and me.... well I have a Jewish man, and we have laugh all over the world for the past 11 years... and I do not get stares, because I am not looking, I don't care, and I am SECURE in who I am and I know the type of man I wanted to love.. We were raised by our father to get an education first, and to marry our best friend who we LOVED... he never ONCE mentioned skin color... he said friend and love.... and I tell you what... God has looked down on our family and as blessed the unity of all races and religions, when we have a family gathering it is like the United Nations, and I would not want it any different.. it is in the mixing of races that people understand if you cut us we will all bleed the same color...
