physorg.com— A panel is suggesting that moderate coffee consumption (3-5 cups per day) may be associated with reduced risk of certain disease conditions. I thought moderate was 10-15 cups per day!

@drew..exactly, nearly everything nowadays has been linked to some form of disease (more or less some form of cancer), but these studies often contradict each other by stating that most of these consumable goods should not be cut off (with the exception of trans fats) but instead a limited or moderate consumption leads to health benefits.
The half life of scientific knowledge is 4 years. So in another 4 years they will say its bad for you again.Coffee its the American thing to do. I like mine straight black. Love it.
I like how they failed to mention the globs of sugar people take with their coffee. I think that negates the remote risk of parkinsons with the certainty of diabeatus.
I thought moderate was a triple expresso in the morning, and a double one after lunch...Oh wait...I guess that is the equivalent of five cups a day...never mind!
@revolver:"Caffeine = bad. Makes your semen taste bad; and therefore, your girlfriend less prone to swallow. ;)"Your mom doesn't seem to think so! ( I can't believe ALL you other diggers totally missed the opportunity to make a comment like that! Whatssamatta wit youse?)
Wonder how much of the benefit was due to a substitution effect - people drinking coffee are probably going to be healthier and have less diabetes than people drinking Coke.
