bit-tech.net — The first review of the new Nvidia mobile GPU is up. Nvidia claim it's almost exactly the same chip as the desktop GeForce, and the first benchmarks seem to back that up. The Extreme-Gaming desktop replacement notebook is here!

Anyone catch the battery life? They say it's "impressive" but don't elaborate past that.

Honestly, I don't see how people can get excited about this. Why? Because sure graphics on laptops have improved over the years, batteries havent. And playing games makes your battery goes bye-bye even quicker. Waste of money, get a desktop for games until they develop batteries that can last longer that 3 hours.

I bought my previous laptop from sager and they are releasing this laptop in a few months as a replacement for mine. According to their site this laptop is going to weigh in around 8.5 lb. Its only going to cost 1600. I totally want one.

VoodooPC just added the 7800GTX to their configuration list:http://www.voodoopc.com/system/quotekitchen.aspx?productID=1083Unfortunately it comes to over $5,000 US configured the way I'd like it though. It'll be much cheaper from other vendors like these guys:http://www.m-techlaptops.com/amd_dual_core_laptop.htmI'm sure Sager will have them too, eventually.
