intensewebmedia.com— My wife won't allow a video game console into our house. So, I am taking her to Best Buy to convince her of the features and benefits of owning a new age gaming console. It won't be pretty.

Seriously, if she wont let you buy a $250 wii your pretty much screwed. If anything this is the purchase to assert your manliness. Baby steps..baby steps to buy a Wii.
You just need to buy one then PROVE TO HER that you can use some self control and limit your playing. My wife hates video games but tolerates my 360 because I set limits for myself and do my best to stick to those limits.Gifts and extra attention don't hurt & keep things happy in the house. AND STICK TO A SET SCHEDULE for gaming. Like Tuesday & Thursday nights for a few hours. Nothing will piss your wife off more than spending 6 hours a day 7 days a week playing video games. I speak from experience. These other posters don't get the fact that you love your wife and want her to be happy. In a marriage you are suppose to put your spouse's needs before your own. Make her feel special and most important.Plus they don't understand what a pain in the ass an unhappy wife can be. The enjoyment you get from playing your fancy new console gets more than cancelled out by the lack of sex and constant grief.
oh and buy her a DS lite- a pink one. and a chick-friendly game like Big Brain Academy, WarioWare or Brain Age Nothing greases the wheels like a habit forming gift.
What a flattering picture. Let her try Wii sports and if she doesn't like it she is secretly a PS3 fanboy or the devil incarnate but seriously doesn't she have any solo hobbies during which you could play?
"Neutered"? How about pussy whipped? I'm not so sure its healthy to have to pacify a person that much for them to be happy. If you have a marriage, great, but its YOUR money. This just complements the corny "women are from mars" theme.

You married a shrew. Contact a legal professional as she'll only get worse.

I wonder if disrespectful attitudes such as yours have contributed to the ever increasing divorce rate? :/

Even so, you are the man of the house. Give her a good spanking ;)
