telegraph.co.uk — The new species of hominid, the evolutionary branch of primates that includes humans, is to be revealed when the two-million-year-old skeleton of a child is unveiled this week. The find is deemed to be so significant that Jacob Zuma, the South African president, has visited the university to view the fossils and a major media campaign with televis

I hate that digg ruins science articles with condescending comments. Digg is so anti-religion that they have to turn any science article into a discussion on religion

Glenn Beck is an evolutionary mistake, sort of like the neanderthals. His offspring is unlikely to breed and the branch will fortunately die out.

Whenever I read your comments, I read them in a bewildered Kramer's voice. Makes me smile every time.

"Real" science is still waiting for someone to come up with a single test for intelligent design. ID'ers refuse to do any science; they'd much rather sit on the sidelines and throw rocks at the people who are. Why should anyone who refuses to do science -- whatever it is they claim -- be given a free pass? They're going to have to roll up their sleeves and collect some data and push their hypotheses through the meat grinder like everyone else does.ID's poster boy Michael Behe hasn't published a single paper on the subject of ID to a peer-reviewed journal, whereas "real scientists" will publish on their work 5, 10, even 20 times per year. He'd rather write books for a public which doesn't know anything. If you want to make an idea that doesn't hold water popular the last people you want getting involved are the people with expertise. If you think intelligent design is "real science" then I suspect your science education is sorely lacking.

not taking into account lowered birthrates, infant mortality, plague, pestilence, war, famine, malnutrition, etc.If you know anything about genetics, you will have stumbled across this minor (really major) setback: If, after this "worldwide" flood, there was only one family to repopulate the earth, how could they have successfully produced all the human diversity that we see today? are you telling me that, since obviously species cannot and do not change over time (obviously playing devil's advocate), noah must have had sex with every single minority of human to produce the different races? Thats not even mentioning the fact that having a single family of anything hardly represents the kind of genetic pool to create the living population we see on earth today. not only does your theory of noah being the greatest stud on the face of the earth not make any sense, it doesnt even agree with itself. currently, scientists have catalogued over a thousand species of ticks, some of which are only native to parts of central and south america. if species do not change over time, how the hell could noah have saved these poor little insects? should we be celebrating noah as the true discoverer of the new world?lastly, you propose that there was water covering the entire earth up to a hight of 30,000 feet. Pretty laughable in and of itself, but that aside: where did the water go? no seismological evidence exists to suggest that there are underground caverns where it could have gone. so, where did it go? did jesus take your poor water away?you, sir, are sadly misinformed

It is impressive how he uses that chalkboard without actual thumbs, say what you will about his disillusions.
