torrentfreak.com — Mininova, the largest torrent site on the Internet, has removed all torrents except those that were uploaded through its content distribution service. It's never been about the artists, they're just commodities to line the pockets of the greedy labels.

Magnet links are the reason I can torrent at my school. It is impossible to download a .torrent file - it hangs for days and days. Magnet links eventually load in automatically and work wonderfully, and I can delete the unnecessary files later. My personal sadness with Demonoid being effectively dead is that they gave the option to download things as a text file, which was genius. If only other sites did that.
