Screw HD-DVD, why support Toshiba/MSFT? , They will only find more ways to control the products you buy. MSFT =DRM in everything. They will DRM your penis so you can only piss in Toshiba Urinals. You are forgetting that Sony was the first to offer relaxing the requirement for HDMI to playback HD. Toshiba followed behind.

@masamunecyrus I was just trying to state that the hardware for the PS3, although expensive, is hardware that will last a while. A good long while. In 3-4 years, when the price comes down, I think the PS3 will hit the sweet spot of all the features a person could want with an acceptable price tag. Along with a killer library of games. I have owned many consoles in my life, and I swear allegiance to none. In fact, I am planning on getting an XBox 360 next.
