cnn.com — "I don't know about you, but I can't take seriously anyone who takes either the Republican Party or Democratic Party seriously -- in part because neither party takes you and me seriously; in part because both are bought and paid for by corporate America and special interests. And neither party gives a damn about the middle class."

How about giving half of the money spent by lobbyist (a mere 6 billion dollars) back to the public and let us control the government????I'm all for that.

Until something checks the corporate branch...we are doomed. There is evidence of this in places like Ancient Rome with industry control.

Awesome article. I was a republican and now don't know what the hell I am or who to trust. I would like to see the president, just one time, give a unique speech that didn't have to do with "staying the course." The way we run our country you would think that Iraq is everything to us. On the other hand I'd like to see the democrats for once stand up and act like they represent the other vote. They have this huge frustrated group of people looking for an alternative but offer nothing to represent them.

Man, I love this Dobbs guy so much that if I were a chick I would definitely spread them for him.Since I'm not, though, he'll have to settle for a pat on the back. ^_^

This is a "Lou Dobbs Commentary" piece. Commentary is, by definition, opinion... not news. This submission belongs in Political Opinion, not Political News.Marked as wrong topic.Dugg because it's true.

In all the debate here everyone misses one very important point, companies/corporations in all reality pay NO taxes. The tax burden is paid by their customers, and minimum wage laws are just another form of tax.

Democrats support Unions. Unions definitely support the middle class. We can thank Unions for 40hr work weeks, weekends off, child labor and safety laws, and better wages and health benefits.

OK, so there is no politician looking out for you or me. They are all self interested and run by the lobbyists. How do people who really want to make their lives better get government to get the hell out of our lives? Lobby the filthy public officers. Vote. Speak out. Don't take at face value the bull coming out of the media. Including Lou Dobbs. Think. Vote. Do.Seriously, where is the grassroots organization that represents Diggers?

Awesome I'm glad that someone has stated the truth about our situation and how we are all having our dissatisfactions and frustrations redirected towards our neighbors. We are merely Cattle to the Few at the top who OWN our officials.( Anti-Trust Laws People ) OUR ECONOMY WILL CONTINUE TO TANK until we have some COMPETITION in the marketplace!!!Our officials are in the Pockets of the Few Uber Wealthy who are reducing us to Serfs. We won't have Anti-Trust Laws as long as our Officials are OWNED by the highest bidder. We need to get legislation passed that will limit how much can be in a campaign contribution, and cut lobbying all together. We Must put the people back in the driver seat. The only reason that the elected officials even try to keep up appearances to the Voter after they are elected is Reelection. Put in term limits and they won't do anything for the people after they are elected.
