Well, I have xp 32(and 64), but I have the Styles interface on 32, and it is very close to the Microsoft skin.Thats what I call stuff like that. I like it, cause its different, but I don't how it will wash after awhile....I already have the hp needed, and the ram, so I just need more hard drives, to install it on.l Thats how I decide what to do. I work with what there is, change it, feel it, and see how stable it is with my s**t on it.I like the blue ball look of styles, and the crystal treatment, is kinda nice anyway...Cyborgyeah
Oh, and wannabe Mac?Yeah, ok. Because Bill Gates thinks to himself, "you know I don't really like owning 95% of the computer market. It's obviously not working for us. I think we should just copy Apple and try to swing that other 5% of people who hate Microsoft just for the sake of hating Microsoft and can't figure out how to use a two button mouse". Like, get over yourselves. In the long run (besides the iPod), Apple will be nothing but a fart in the general direction of Microsoft.
> Vista looks like a major improvement for the 90% of computer users using Windows, despite constant high-minded bashing by 2% about of the users.No. Actually having run Vista, as opposed to speculating about it, I can tell you that it's SERIOUSLY resource-hungry, and runs like a slug on mogadon on most current hardware. It's also seriously buggy, but they might have fixed most of them by the time of the release. It is NOT backwardly compatible with software as recent as Office 2003 - there's a whole heap of legacy applications that will have to be re-bought in new versions if you want to run this "operating system"!The "new" TCP/IP stack is just another rip-off - looks suspiciously like BSD again (I've briefly seen some of the code), and doesn't add anything worthwhile. > Only thing that bugs the crap outta me is the embedded DRM, although I'm sure there will be ways around it.There probably won't be - the DRM is FUNDAMENTAL to the "operating system", so much so that your own documents will carry embedded tokens unique to you - anonymous e-mail, anyone? This is just yet another of MS' attempts to sell more worthless garbage to gullible losers. The hardware manufacturers will be rubbing their hands with glee as these losers are "forced" to "upgrade" their boxes because Vista doesn't run properly.
:) Which part in my portfolio that lists I was an employee for and still hold clients by the name of Academy Studios, The GAP, Pixar Studios, Apple Computers, and William Sonoma's Pottery Barn division that made you think I was a hobbyist? My office is in Union Square, San Francisco -- if you're in the area, we can talk shop sometime. I'll give it to you, I haven't updated the portfolio in a long time, pending a new site redesign, but we've been busy.I figured that was you hitting my site from digg.com, where's yours?
damn you have to forgive me.....I am feeling a bit bitter tonight.I do think your site is nice, and you seem to be better doing better than most in that area.So please ignore what I said :)

wow that is impressive...Lets check out some of their sites and w3c compliance shall we?The Gap (13 errors)<a class="user" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gap.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gap.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline</a>Pixar (16 errors)<a class="user" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.pixar.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.pixar.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline</a>Apple (6 errors)<a class="user" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.apple.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.apple.com&turnoff=&doctype=Inline</a>Pottery Barn (180 errors)<a class="user" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.potterybarn.com">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.potterybarn.com</a>Hmm seems to me that you should have a talk with your "clients". however that being said I know that you didnt have a thing to do with these sites....cause if you did you would have said so in your bio. You probably did something so loosely related to those companies that you couldnt even mention it in your bio. So like I said...maybe one day you can make a "good" living doing web design. But we both know you are not now. As far as posting my sites? well there isnt a thing I could post here that would impress a hobbyist (sorry professional) like yourself...and it would be very unprofessional to post my clients sites on a tech site for fun. I will give you a hint though.....one site was talked about on every major news station over several years. Another was last appraised at $10,000,000+, and yet another was for around $3,000,000+ (however they lost funding....bummer huh?) and more 100,000K+ sites than I can count. I also find it interesting that you have an office in Union Square, but no 800 number?
