This type of stuff has been going on for at least a year. It's a Trojan horse. As the article below shows [1], they poison people's mind and rewrite documents on Open Source in think tanks. Most companies don't try and minipulate a community by slander or by using scare tactics. And most companies only put patents on ingenious ideas. They don't just bully the competition. They actually paid someone to write book about why Andrew Tanumbaum should sue Linus Torvalds. Most companies have dignity. Not microsoft.

@SouLFacE: they don't have to do anything more than what they already do, they have already done more than enough for the foss community (this excludes the scavengers that call them selves distros such as xandros and linspire... ;))@Philluminati:may be there will be a virtualization demo there....@TylerM: They have already started marketing vistaaa like crazy, but the thing is no body seems do give half a rats ass about it, (al least M$'s spending millions in our country, the advertising sector might get a boost from this :-D).. anyway this shows how desperate M$ is, they even started sponsoring FOSS events to get some visibility (where they know the alleged software is going be presented as alternatives for their products..). Anyway I think this might be useful as some "legal ammo" if one day M$ grew some balls and started suing....

M$ is the ONLY company that tries to make every type of software/product out there that shows any sign of being successful. They not only make every type of software but they use their desktop monopoly to make sure they it ends up being the only one users ever see.
