Jerry Seinfeld uses Mac computers. That's probably why he doesn't do the Im A PC thing. As a Mac user and a Superman fan (like Jerry Seinfeld) I think it would be f**ked up for him to straight out lie and say on the commercials that he is a Mac and a Batman fan.Look back at every episode of Seinfeld. He has his old Mac in the background, and of course Superman appears somewhere too.
In the mac ads, John Hodgman is a human representation of a PC and Justin Long is a human representation of a Mac. So their welcoming comment of "Hello, I'm a Mac" and "and I'm a PC" is correct. Why would "real" people say "I'm a PC"? Shouldn't it be "I use a PC"?Thank goodness they don't use marital aids....."Hello, I'm a di!do" Perhaps that would too honest.
Why would your motherboard go out? Oh, it must be all that porn that you are not downloading! j/k ;)When I bought my mac, I don't remember anyone pressuring me to buy anything else, and I cleared out the free trial of MS Office to free up space. Besides, I can do all the same things using NeoOffice and not have to pay a dime (past a donation to the developers). But why would I need to replace my laptop or worry about a recovery disk when my mac never so much as hiccups? (okay, stop shaking your head because I know it's smart to back up no matter what system you have)Okay, I know Pc people are never gonna reconcile with mac people, but I'll tell you that I learned computers using nothing but Pc's. After using my first mac, I bought two more and never looked back. I look at it as operating a calculator compared with doing long division. I can do both, but why make it hard on myself? Thanks for the reply!
Ah, yes. You see, however, that the resentment against Microsoft stems from their tactics to dominate the market. Apple dropped the ball back in the day, but Microsoft "persuaded" computer manufacturers that the only way they could put Windows on their computers was to install free MS Office trials on their systems. When the manufacturers wanted to let consumers choose their own office software, Microsoft threatened to pull the operating system. Years later, we have a world of business that is totally dependent on using MS Office. So, when Mac boasts the ability to use MS Office (which they've been able to do for more than a decade BTW), its because many people are afraid to switch for fear they can't use the applications they've been forced to use as long as Windows has been around. So what Mac is saying when they point out "I can run Microsoft Office" is that they can do all the stuff you are used to doing and make it simpler and safer at the same time, PLUS do a whole boatload more. I hope that clarifies things a bit in regard to that "irony".
