gamesindustry.biz— "If we look at the capabilities of the Xbox 360 from a technical aspect, and we lay against it the capabilities from a technical aspect of the PS3... It's a wash,"

I still think it's too early to start bickering on which console will Be better. Didn't Microsoft learn anything from the first Xbox ??? Having better graphics doesn't make a better game !!! I still remember how long I had to wait for a GOOD xbox game to be released while my PS2 and Gamecube were burning the midnight oil, and I am sure it would be the same for the 360.
Why's everyone so concerned with the PS3 and 360? I'm hangin' tough for the Revolution. I've always had more fun with Nintendo games anyway. Yeah, they're big innovators and it doesn't always work out, but at least they're making an effort to be original! (and yes, I know all the hype for Nintendo is on their controller right now)Games shouldn't just be about graphics and hardware anyway. Gaming is about content and enjoying the experience. That's why so many bad/boring/unoriginal games are released nowadays. Did the nes/snes/genesis generation teach us nothing? I spend more time playing my old consoles and emulators than I ever spend playing my PS2 or Xbox because they were good, fun games. I know many people who feel the same. The fact of the matter is, if Sony and M$ are more concerned with graphics, hardware, or whatever, the games suffer. If the games suffer, gamers suffer. I'm not saying this will be the case, I just believe game content should be the prime focus of the industry. The experience should be the focus.
The principle applies to Xbox cpu as well, you can run any software on xbox IF THE SOFTWARE IS COMPILED FOR THE XBOX's CPU ARCHITECTURE. And since Steve Jobs will not compile OSX for cell processor architcture, OSX will never run on PS3. To the contrary, Xbox360's cpu is based on powerPC architecture, the same cpu architecture Mac Computer uses. So there is actully possibility that OSX will be able to run on Xbox360
What good is flashy graphics if the game sucks. Doesn't anyone just _play_ the games nowadays? Microsoft doesn't get it, the center point of a good gaming experience is not the graphics.
"first off, it's not just real-time, it's actually in-game. konami guys were actually on-stage with a ctonroller in their hand, playing the game."right.... konami guys are controlling snakes' lips so that snake can convert with octacon...

You can run Linux on any CPU, since linux is open source, so anyone can compile the kernel to run on any CPU architecture they want.

it's spelled "p-a-i-n-t-i-s-t", champion. Way to go on throwing out the possibility of having a civil conversation.

Microsoft is digging themselves in a hole by trying to diss the PS3. They haven't even played it so how can they make judgements.
