I've owned 4 iPods, not counting the iPhone, and not one of them has failed. If you own ANY hard-drive based music player, and you go slamming it around while it's operating, then YES, it's going to fail on you. Most normal people have managed to avoid that problem.
At least you can run iTunes on Windows. Zune Marketplace does not even run on a Mac so it's not an option for me. Not to mention I've never had an iPod freeze up on me.
Okay, article that was dugg is about a plunge of one tenth of a billion dollars in Zune revenue (sales were cut by half). Yet the comments look like a bunch of astroturfed ads/promos for the very product whose sales are evaporating.Anybody else think that is odd?
Maybe your desktop search indexing - the Windows one or Google Desktop - is se to index external devices? In the case of your Zune's storage - you probably do not want or need that to occur. Your zune application is what you would use to review the contents of Zune's storge. You could also look into viruses. If you have one that tries to modify ever music file it fnd and you have 15,000 of them on your zune, all that hacking is going to take a long time to complete.Just a couple theories. Good luck with solving the problem. You can also switch to iPod, if the problem does not get sorted out. Hopefully, you music files are not encoded in some proprietary format.

So if I made a profit in my company, I recklessly and unnecessarily hire people? Are you stupid or just completely ignorant of how a company works?

That's very descriptive Tahiri. Now we all know what flaws you found in the Zune to cause you to hate it.

Haha, why? I know Mac OS X games are more numerous now, but nowhere near what is available on Windows...

Are you telling me that if your precious iPod stopped working for one day you would stop using it and switch to something else? Please.

His point is that QuickTime is a piece of s**t. And he's right.

I wonder if Microsoft will EOL zune if its economic outlook continues to get bleaker.
