microsoft.com— Looks like somebody messed up at Microsoft. For advanced users, they recommend GarageBand to make music on your fancy, er, PC.

I gave Garageband a try and it's far from being of professionnal quality. It's a very unintuitive interface and just couldn't do all the things I can in Cubase or even Pro-Tools. It's ok for what it says, producing garage band that will sound like a recording made in your garage. It's seems to be a lot of troubles to get a DAW/surface control to work with it, tried it without success. But then again, if we had to believe that all that is written professionnal on was really professionnal, we would be in a lot of troubles.

The mac is advance in a sense that by running Cubase on it, you won't sweat on the OS.
