computerworld.com — Two weeks after it last handed a new build of Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to several thousand invitation-only testers, Microsoft Corp. today posted that version for public downloading. Want to try it out? Here's how: Uninstall RC1 if you have that first, download the reg patch from http://tinyurl.com/2mflo7 , then run windows update to get it.

Look up a blindfold test done by engineer Lynn Houston. The industries best ears were hemming and hawing what piece of software was being used on softwares, a, b, c, and d. 2 of those were pc based, one was protools, samplitude turned out to be the favorite by the slightest, minisculest of knudges. Which means, ANY change along the signal chain, mic, preamp, mixing board, a/d converters, will change that result.Protools is old news. Samplitude and Sonar are rock solid on xp, and it won't cost an arm and a leg.

read the context asshat"its buggy unless you specifically want to use vista-specific software"Vista has no problems with software designed with vista in mind, but anything designed for XP primarily blows up within seconds of being run under vista.100 million use it because its being forced onto everyone's computers and joe user doesn't know or care what the difference is, the new one is shiny. But your opinion doesn't matter to me, I'll continue to vote the way I was brought up to, with my wallet, I don't buy crap I don't need and I have no need for bloatware like vista
