I get the impression that most of digg don't like the PS3. As a curious Brit, could you explain why? It seems to have a lot of great features (like playing videos from my external HDD, free online play, BluRay), and a mixture of games (CoD, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars :D ), and I enjoy playing on my housemate's machine.**braces for impact**
The PS3 has support for Hulu, Pandora, etc, through it's browser. It's not that I can't use these on my PC, it's that my PC isn't connected to my living room, which has nicer speakers and a bigger screen. While MS touts a Last.FM app, a simple browser with Flash support would make it pointless. Just load up the real site instead of a pointless single use app that frontends a website.
Most people pay for the live subscription, so it'd be stupid from a business perspective to lose all that money. Everything they do is to make more money. Live makes a lot of money. Simple.

Hulu is based on Flash, which Microsoft competes with (Silverlight) so I don't see that any time soon. However Hulu does work on the PS3.
