By bundling it with the OS and making it virtually impossible to remove in its entirety. They also did all kinds of wonky things like if it ever launches it automatically associates itself with all kinds of media formats, regardless of what you've previously set.See Internet Explorer Monopoly trial and conviction in 2001.

What they should do is have it on the CD, but not install it by default. I mean, the public should have SOME media player to use so that they can actually listen to music, BUT WMP shouldn't come installed & ready to go. They should ask you; otherwise people just use WMP by default because it comes with Windows, and no-one will use competitors software. It is anti-competitive to some extend.Edit: geminitojanus has a good point about WMP and how it "associates itself with all kinds of media formats, regardless of what you've previously set". That is a very good point in fact. Very annoying!

Did you forget your basics? Separation of justice - church - government...It's in every european country's constitution. This is about a court decision, not a governmental decision. Don't see what fascism is doing here...This is about freedom to make choices and competition on the market.

Just pathetic when the dominant OS is forced to strip features from their OS. It shows the Europe doesn't get ithttp://games.free-software.cc/http://download.free-software.cc
