mobilitytoday.com — Video of Microsoft Zune in action. In this video you will see how the navigation works along with menus, size and video. For me the 30GB hard drive is a big loss for Microsoft. Also the sharing idea is nice but we were just informed that you can share content with a friend for 3 days or 3 times listening to the track.

Not too even mention that this kind of competition is EXACTLY what is needed to make even better players in the future. So good job M$ and Sir Steve. Game on.

nofxjunkee...except hat MANY polls have said that you are in a VERY small minority. Even you don't need that much. Do you go on LOTS of 30 hour plane rides? I'd guess no. Janitors don't take long trips. Most people do not want to pay for the space that they will use maybe 1% of the time. Most people don't plan to rip their entire CD collection onto their MP3 player, becuase part of the point of having MP3s over CDs is that you don't have to listen to the 9 crap songs on a CD.There have been surveys showing that for a full sized player, 20-30 Gig is the optimum amount of space desired.

I suppose it depends on what you use it for. I have plenty of friends who have 40GB and 60GB iPods with 20+GB of music use it to transfer 5-15GB of video files almost daily.

OK, I've had a 30G ipod with video and I now own a 30G Toshiba Gigabeat S wich has the same interface as the Zune. One thing I can say is that I liked the fact how the Ipod handles podcasts. If you stopped listening a podcast one day and start listening to another, your ipod starts from where ever you left off, with the Gigabeat you have to fastforward to the place where you lef off and it is more difficult to figure out because, unlike the ipod, you don't hear any sound when you fastforward. Also, when it comes to video podcasts, the only one I can easily transfer to the Gigabeat is DL.tv because they offer it in wma; Gigabeat requires conversion for any other video format.Other than that, the interface is way better than the Ipod, and having a d-pad is better and more precise than the click wheel. And album art is sweet (ipod just catched up with that) and the first letter of the artist or song comes up when scrolling through songs(apple has also catched up with that too).Hopefully the Zune will support more than one video format, and the price is right. I'll wait until the true video Ipod comes out to make my decision.

That link had me in hysterics. iPod killer. BWAA HAAA HAAA!!! the day that Toshiba built 1980's Betamax looking device can go toe to toe with an iPod hah! The 6G iPod widescreen will be out before Christmas too, MS fanboys are weeping.
