Your points are stupid. You didn't happen to read the article and notice this 360 didn't die of the RROD, did you?The extended warranty only covers the RROD, not dying disk drives.
ok brandon lets go over this post of yours.... 360 version if bioshock isnt "gimped" even a little bit according to the developer.... halflife 2 ep 2, portal, team fortress 2, et: quake wars, and ut 3 will all be on the 360 as well as the pc..... crysis will SUCK. just like far cry sucked. crysis will have what far cry did when it launched. great graphics, uninspired level design, the worst multiplayer maps money can buy, and the ai of a retarded 3 year old money with one arm. oh and the mod tool will suck just as bad as far cry's did. this developer hasnt given anyone a single reason ever that they can build a fun well designed game. theyve given many a reason about how good their renderer code is, but their level designers and tools developers just flat suck. its almost like they used the diakatana school of level design graduates to design that game. the hardpare problems are real yes. but microsoft did the adult thing. admitted the problem, extended the warranty to 3 years, telling their customers "we needed to do better, we want to take care of you, and we appreciate your business". you should have just left your argument there at the hardware, because as ive shown in this post, most of your post, is just flat fud.
QFT. 360 sells around 200k every month in according to the NPD numbers. The fact that vgchartz hasn't been updated since December and people still think it's a reliable source is just ludicrous.
While I am a MS fan, I have to admit that hardware failure is certainly an issue. My original 360 blew up for reasons unknown. I have an Elite now and I am hoping it holds up. If it craps out, I am leaving it alone and sticking with the Wii. I still play the regular XBox (Madden 07), so I would not be at a big loss.

Microsoft uses the number of shipped consoles to retail as their number of sold consoles.

I found this on another digg story: http://digg.com/playstation_3/PS3_Sales_Increased_135_Percent_Since_Price_Drop_Says_Sony I bet this would not be happening if MS lowered its price right away in response to Sony. While they have the better overall package right now, does MS really think its hardware is worth as much as the PS3?
