blogs.zdnet.com — Microsoft has finally killed off it's old anti-Linux "Get the facts" website that had been spreading lies about Linux for years. However, don't think that anything has changed, the site is being replaced with another, more insidious site called "Windows Server Compare." Take a look.

While SCO tried to make it look like Autozone was being sued for being a Linux user, in reality they were sued for being an old SCO customer that went to another system (Linux). SCO also alleged that Autozone had conspired with IBM to strip certain shared libraries from a SCO product (OpenServer) and use in Linux. This was what the lawsuit was all about.

Most of the comparisons are not apples-to-apples. Take the first one, for example: Microsoft spits out some numbers about RHEL's license costs (trying to milk the shock value of a $2,500 per seat figure or something) and says something vague about how their business model is to make money on support, then proceeds to make equally vague statements about how Windows reduces TCO. They aren't making a fair comparison, but then I suppose we shouldn't have expected them to :)
