Look at the video again. That isn't a touch screen, the image is being projected from overhead.

I completely agree, I was watching the video wondering when I was supposed to be impressed. I mean it is a stinking touch screen that allows multiple input, wooopeeeee. It had NONE of the sweet communication and multimedia features that the surface has. (BTW, I am NOT a microsoft lover. This is all coming from a guy who generally does not like MS and wants to see Linux crush it; but I also can recognize a sweet product when I see one.)

You and others may get a lot of function out of Wacom products but touch and multi touch applications will receieve zero. Active digitizers which require a stylus do not react to any other objects such as fingers on the screen. There are plenty of vocal proponents of active digitizers but they will be left behind as touch technology advances and be stuck waving their plastic sticks and traces of make-believe ink

Here's something for you to wrap your head around.1. Microsoft surface has a limited number of touch. This one is unlimited.2. MIcrosoft surface can only interact with 1 application at a time as only one will be receiving inputs. You can interact with many number of application at the same time as many can simultaneous receive inputs.3. MIcrosoft throws billions of dollars into making it a product. This is a PHD project that is at prototype.4. Microsoft technology isn't a breakthrough, it just a different way to interface into the same boring system underneath. This technology is radically different because at the BACKEND, multiple softwares can interact with multiples inputs at the same time.5. MPX isn't a touch screen. It's a software that handles many mouse inputs. Touch screen is a hardware interface, not software. Now read it, digest it, research it and then may be you will realize you don't know as much as you think you do.
