xbox-scene.com— Microsoft started a new mass-ban on Xbox Live against users who flashed the firmware on their Xbox360 DVD drive to play backups. All drives seems affected and even the newest iXtreme firmwares.

If you hate Microsoft, why not buy a PS3? But I think it;s about greed. Amazon.fr lists Gears of War for 64.90 Euro, not a lot of money I'd say, that's about $95 USD, Is that expensive? I dunno, but I've paid that much for games before. But it's hard to pass judgement unless I know your income and the costs of other stuff like a loaf of bread or lemons.
i'm now banned. but i wont give up. i'm gonna go out and get another 360. this time i'll only make my own back-ups and never download another game. as long as i use the ixtreme firmware and make 1:1 copies of my games...i'll be stealthy. :)
Couple things here, first off people with modded boxes that are guilty stop whining that you got banned for no reason cuz its BS and your making modders look worse. 2nd of all, just because you pay for your games or whatever does not mean your entitled to a hero cookie, or any opinion on my character because i pirate. I go to work i pay taxes i do everything you do, just i get my games for free so go cry about it okay? I chose the path I chose and I am going to live with my consequences. I don't need to hear you cry baby liberals preaching that you pay for games so that makes me a low life.. No that makes me smarter then you because anytime i get a chance to stick it to bill gates and M$ im gunna take it.
Some of you people are living in a fairy tale world. Do you really think m$ will be like "sorry, your playing a pirated game" and kick you off live, and ASK you to buy the retail game? LoL they don't give a s**t about the consumer, they care about money. They saw the opportunity to fight back and they did. But they can't detect the games on live ALL the time, as many users claim they play on live and never had any issues or banned. And some people are just retarted and play the games before they come out.... Umm ....You do know that EVEN IF YOUR NOT ON LIVE at that current time, the second you hook it up to the internet your information is uploaded to their servers, thus on the next ban wave, say goodbye! You gotta be smart about it.And for the people that got banned, you can still play the games offline... that's still better than nothing, so don't get your hopes down.And where there's a will, there's a way. Do you honestly think the people releasing "ixtreme" and others hacks, are going to sit back and just get banned? NO. In time, they will look for new ways to get around the bannings, because sooner or later, M$ will get them. And when they do, they will retaliate by buying a new xbox and discovering new exploits....M$ banning them will be their inspiration to fight back, I guarantee you this. The xbox price will drop in price sooner or later as well, when a newer and better system comes out, and they can't ban EVERYONE from live.Benz
