No, but I would have a problem if I bought a car and lets say a standard feature like the locks didn't work correctly. But the nice car company offers to sell you a replacement lock system that actually works. Yeah, I have a problem with that.

Nasty. My clients will never see it.

How many years will it/does it take to fix these bugs TubaTechno? And we are only talking XP right? How many years will we have TO WAIT AFTER WE WAIT for Vista to come out? Innovation? Have you seen Vista?

Stupid enough to use Internet Explorer, for example.

@EscamilloYou really know little about security in operating systems, do you? Microsoft have evidently brainwashed you with their marketing hype. Mac OS X and Linux-based operating systems have had real security for years.

Hey, maybe Microsoft could start from scratch, code a fast, tiny and modular microkernel OS with multiple CPU support and a proper security model. They could run existing Windows applications (right from 16- to 64-bit) in a virtualisation environment, much like Mac OS X did with the classic Mac OS.Then, OneCare wouldn't need to exist and the users would be joyous that their operating system finally "just worked" and let them get on with life in peace. And they all lived happily ever after...

I beta tested the software for a long while, and I would recommend it, simply because of the price tag for 3 computers and the simplicity of it.I wish Trend Micro (best Antivirus) had a comparable deal, because I'd prefer that over OneCare. But when it comes to the consumer, they'd probably spend $50 for 3 computers, instead of $100-$120 for 3 using Trend Micro.

Windows XP Pro costs $299 bucks off the shelf to the average Joe. Another $49.95 for security?Seriously...is Microsoft trying to drive people to use Linux?

Don't most of you guys pirate Windows anyway? Why worry about the price? :p
