macrumors.com — Apparently bowing from competitive pressure from Parallels and VMWare, Microsoft has announced that they are canning future development of VirtualPC. Microsoft claims that they would basically be forced back into making a 1.0 product due to the code-rewrite required, but lets face it: they couldn't take the heat.

The only real threat to Microsoft is the internet in the long run.And that is a threat to all OS's.

“FINALLY, somone else who actually READS THE [...] ARTICLES.”I think that is unfortunate, as it is obvious deviation from Digg tradition.

Okay I am not bashing Microsoft XP. I just want to point out that if they are laxing on the development with VPC than that is a good move on their part. For being one that has had to use VPC on a mac for architecture programs let me just say that it is pure hell. Letting go of VPC would be an obvious step since having a stable WinXP platform on an Intel based Mac would be much better.

The story is of course wrong, and the story they were intending ot address is a dupe anyhow. Buried

your submission didnt get hits(err diggs) because it's not leeching off the "apple" category.

Just a quick note.. I quickly assumed that the title and synopsis were actually referring to the VPC on MAC, simple because the digg was submitted under Apple category. I thought it was a good enough suggestion, but not only that, the link was to macrumors.com.. (i know he should've put in the actual news source..but thats beside the point).. Me, i'm digging this one and the other one.. just so that everyone is happy.. well maybe more happy than miserable.

Dupe and Inaccurate... No Digg.

Just a note as to the category comments. When you view ALL articles the category/topic is below the article and quite small, thus not easily identifying the category/topic. Just my $.02 worth
