Yeah, heh, too bad Microsoft doesn't make their hardware.....hrm, they didn't used to make their software either....notice a trend?(DOS was completely bought, I can go into the history of their other purchases, but noone cares. I'm just making sure ignorant people don't think they actually made all their software.)
You'd know what it all meant if you took the time to read the article. It just means that MS is licensing their hardware IP to other manufacturers. It's hardly even digg worthy news let alone all this kneejerk moaning and groaning about imagined slights.

A real laser mouse like the Agilent MX1000 does not use LED technology, unless they've perpetrateda total and outright lie, but may use a small laser diode.Using a LASER based system is supposed to result in an increase in sensitivity by 20x of a standard LEDmouse, due to supposed enhancements in the detail of the image; it's still an optical type mouse, as-opposed to a part-optical/part-mechnical type mouse, referring to cursor movement. It doesn't really seem to be worth the extra expense, however, especially if the laser isn'tgoing to last as long as LEDs, with extensive use.The LED based mouse seems to be about as sensitive as one can notice with current computer user interfaces...
yes, that's exactly what i meant, not a "standard" optical mouse. It does replace a standard LED mouse with a laser. also, when you turn the mouse over, there is no visible light.
