Apple can integrate its video with AOL so why can't Microsoft, who makes their own products, get it working with their own products? Why have two communications servers as well? Why not have Windows Messenger use LCS? That way they only need to have one server to develop. Is it just me or am I being too logical for this planet? It's just that this sort of crap happens at work and I notice it but when I suggest better alternatives I get looked at as though I just farted (probably not a good idea saying this stuff while farting - I guess Billy Connolly was right ;-) ).
I'm switching right away -- It supports all the features in Adium, and you can also use your own custom emoticons! This is the first client on Mac OS X, that doesn't run on Java (and is thus impossible to use with only 512 MB RAM), that has full support for custom emoticons.I can't log in, though. I don't know what's wrong, it doesn't come up with an error, it just doesn't log in. :-S- Simon
Still does NOT support audio OR Video, so it's just as useless as the previous version, get aMSN if you need to use a messenger program.(it's got WAY more than MSN for Windows, AND supports Video! GASP!)
Where I live (in Scotland) everyone uses MSN, nobody knows what a mac is, and when I say 'Skype' they say 'bless you'Please, Can we get some diversity here - how about a free Macbook for every student??
@applemacmadIntriguing... macs haven't taken off that well in Europe. I have a friend in Germany who wants to buy a mac, but is afraid his father won't let him buy one. His father has prohibited him from buying an iPod as well. Don't know why! Some anti-America thingie or what??
@nixdoctor:That's horse manure. Macs have really taken off here in England, i run an IT support center, and we now see 3-5 macs a week for varying software glitches, upgrades, consults, and dual booting with XP etc. Since the ipod boom, and the ability to install XP on a mac, the customer base HAS expanded, even over here in ratty ole Europe.

If I had a Mac, I would not put MSN messenger on it.
