And to think that I almost purchased a 360 because of the internet hype! I'm so glad I have a PS3 so I don't have to deal with any of this bulls**t, and the funny part is that I don't even have to pay for online play! :) I'm a happy consumer...

I don't know what the date it on my console, but I just bought it Feb 9th and I am not going to buy anything on Xbox live after reading about this. In fact I dont even know that I will even get a Gold account. Silver might be all I ever have. I am running on the free month Gold trial right now, but after that is over that could just be the end.

The "problem" with Linux doesnt end with installing drivers...Really, its fine to use if you only want to surf the net, but try installing software. Try changing hardware. I use GNU/Linux a lot both professionally and personally (mostly as a cheap unix terminal to manage servers), but its not remotely close to a non-it productivity desktop.

Dude, WTF are you talking about? I never complained about the wireless card, I merely said that I wasn't going to waste $100 for a wireless NIC for my console, plus I don't want the added latency of wireless. I'm not sure who the hell you think is complaining, but I certainly wasn't..... I was simply making a point of why some people don't always keep their 360 connected to the internet.

wage, you're an xbot fanboy aren't you? Xbox Live wasn't down over the holidays? That free copy of Undertow I downloaded must not have been because of Xbox Live being down. You're a tool.

I think the main problem is if you don't have the content on your HDD and you re-download it.

Well, standards Microsoft's coding example, nothing new here. It will be news when they ship something that is not too crippled and reliable.

My guess is not that it's their policy, but that it was coded that way to prevent hacking. We all know MS is famous for it's s**tty software, so nothing new here.
