well my particular drive was apparently "prone to failure" after less than two months of ownership. after brief research, it is safe to say that i am not alone, the xbox 360 is home to many faulty drives. that is poor manufacturing decisions on microsoft's part, not a fluke. it is fairly widespread, just not as well-known as the RROD.
