forbes.com — The fight for freedom--the preservation of our civil rights--is the fight of our lives. Sadly, after Dr. Martin Luther King's passing we are faced with a violation of our civil rights as flagrant as Jim Crow: The Patriot Act.

Quote from article:"Dr. King would be disappointed in our current administration for more than its continued disregard for civil rights, as he stated 'a nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.' We need to change our interventionist foreign policy, and take care of our brothers and sisters at home. Our nation is in a crisis: we are spending billions on war overseas while those around us are suffering with lost jobs. It is inexcusable; we must solve the economic crisis at home.""As you settle your minds on who to vote for this January 15, on the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., remember that your vote strengthens the fight for our civil rights. Freedom-- limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights--can uplift us all. Vote for me, and vote to preserve Dr. King's legacy of freedom on January 15."

Bush I and II and the entire GOP tried to bring down Ron Paul in 1996 and failed! Now you know why they are SO determined to kill his campaign today!http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/A_shrewd_run_for ...So, all you Liberals, just ask yourselves why you hate Ron Paul so much. Could it be that the elusive Bush team has managed to convince you to hate him? Seriously, he actually voted AGAINST the war – and you hate the war. He voted AGAINST the WTO – and you hate the WTO.Please, ask yourselves: Who is actually pulling your strings? Why are you falling right into the Bush, NeoCON trap? You are doing EXACTLY what they want you to do!

Dr. Paul will end the wars and restore our Constitution and civil liberties. He has massive support from liberals, libertarians and conservatives! He is and economic scholar and the only candidate who knows how to fix our devastated economy and save it from total collapse. Democrats, please don't waste your vote when no delegates are involved. Vote for Ron Paul and help save America! This is not a choice...this country needs Ron Paul desperately. He is not doing this for himself, he is doing it for us. Please support him!

This could be the very last time you are able to hear a Presidential candidate say anything like this. In four to eight years, the next person to attempt to express these ideas will be placed in a prison camp never to be heard from again. These are desperate times and Michigan needs to realize that no other candidate will deliver the freedom, peace and prosperity for which so many are looking. Dr. Paul is the cure to your state's and our nation's illness. If you're a Democrat, please vote for Ron Paul as a birthday gift to Martin Luther King Jr.
