I don't why people are concerned with the future if blu-ray. Do people really think that Shrek3 and Transformers are going to help hd-dvd pass blu-ray sales? Probably not, considering that Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3 will be out around the same time. They all cancel each other out...
"You were the dumbasses who chose to invest in equipment BEFORE a standard was chosen."If no one invested in gear until a format won out, then no format would ever win out, DUMBASS.
The 360 has been making a small profit for around a year. Nothing great ($47 I believe it was), but with the recent price drop they probably aren't making much if any. I haven't got a 360 or any other HD player, I just don't understand how anyone can not see that sony is paying out millions upon millions for the PS3 subsidy for the sole reason of getting their less flexible and more anti-consumer format into as many homes as possible.Heres my beef, Sony have come to the realization that it just can't make good enough profits by selling movies based on someone elses format. They want to control the platform completely and the PS3 is their trojan horse to do just that!Toshiba on the other hand, doesn't own any movie studios or anything like that, they have kept their HD-DVD system relatively open compared to BD and have absolutely no ulterior motive (other than the sale of product) to get HD adopted as the standard.Sony not only want to sell you the platform, but the content for it too, and the ability to f**k us all over with crap like their additional content protection, regional coding and the likely introduction of that flag thing so any non-protected interface like Component or non-HDCP DVI will get a degraded quality.I don't really like the toshy stuff either, but its far and away the lesser of two evils!

They weren't HD DVD fanboys. They were "We seriously don't want Bay to direct Transformers 2" fanboys!!

I hate when someone asks why someone was dugg up/down or tells someone how to digg. Let people make their own decisions!
