yumsugar.com— Costco is carrying cases of "illegally" imported Mexican Coca-Cola - made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. Coca-Cola Co. says there's "no difference."

All soft drinks here in Mexico are sold in plastic bottles, only Coca-Cola Co. (coca-cola, coca-cola light, 7-up..) sells a few in small glass bottles mostly to restaurants or otherwise at stores as contour bottle collectibles or season editions.I don't know why but coke tastes much better in glass bottles.
Hey arromol, another Abilene digger here! I actually go through Dublin every weekend or so. My school, Baylor Uni, is pretty much sponsored by Dr. Pepper. It's awesome. Every tuesday we have a Dr. Pepper hour where free Dr. P floats are handed out.
There IS A difference! Another place you can get "original" Coke is, just before, and during Passover, you can go to a kosher grocery, and get kosher Coke. A few might still have some left this long after Passover, no penalty for asking! I DO find this odd, since what we in North America know as Corn and the rest of the workd knows as "Maize" is indigenous to North Amreica, and even though there were som jews among Columbus's crew, the first jew would not have had any exposure to modern corn until a few thousand years after the Old Testement was written! Still, for some reason, any corn product is not considered Kosher for Passover! Sooo, Coke puts out a formula that substitutes cane sugar for corn-based sweetner, and distributes it to Koshur grocery stores in February and March for sale at Passover. Knowing that, you CAN still get original Coke, and not have to trust Mexico's relatively weak food purity laws, and even weaker enforcement of sanitation laws!
The ziplock bag thing is true if you buy a coke in a glass bottle and you dont want to buy the bottle, Also in mexico you pay the deposit and you can bring them back and get your money back but all people just return the used bottles when they pick up new bottles and don't pay deposit anymoreThere are all kinds of bottles of Coca Cola. There are the 235ml / 500ml returnable glass bottles, the 500ml non-returnable glass bottles, the 1lt / 2lt / 3lt returnable plastic bottles, and 600ml / 1lt / 2lt / 3lt non-returnable plastic bottles. I'm not kidding, also Pepsi has all this bottles too.Actually I`m drinking a cold glass bottle coke right now, that I just buy it near my home, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico
I forgot to tell you, all this bottles are very cheap, returnable 500 ml 45¢ if you return the used bottle, 90¢ if you buy the bottle, 235ml non-returnable glass bottles 30¢, the 1lt - 80¢ / 2lt - $1.30/ 3lt - $2.00 returnable plastic bottles, and 600ml - 65¢ / 2lt - 90¢ non-returnable plastic bottles
I posted this too, but the digbots are oblivious. IF they want to think this is one time thing then more Coke for us at Pesach. Interesting how they like to say it's illegal just to feel like they're sticking it to the man.
This is why I love living in a multicultural neighborhood in Brampton, Canada.Ting, 2 for a dollar at the local fortinos.Beats any Canadian soft drink. Also, try Limca if you can reach an east indian grocery store. Its like sprite/Ting mixed together
I don't know about the low-caffeine mountain dews around (i'm in the GTA) here. But whenever I see mountain dew, the big "caffeine free" sign is there on the label.
Too bad most people are not willing to pony up for the cost increase of Jones soda.In Canada (well, Brampton anyways), its about 1.29 each and 3.99 for a pack of four (the 355 mL bottle).I think people need to get it through their head that soda is NOT an everyday thing, but a treat.Jones soda is exactly that, a treat, and I'd be willing to pay extra to enjoy it
Coke with sugar has a whole different taste and mouth feel. It's also more filling. I buy Boylan Cane Cola because its tastes almost exactly like Coca-Cola used to taste. The executives at Coca-Cola who say there is no difference are either lying or are just plain clueless, or both. I am not buying American coke any longer until the Coca-Cola corp gives Americans a choice of the "real thing" all year round.

If you would like to see cola companies switch to cane sugar or beet sugar, there's a campaign to do so at <a class="user" href="http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/dear-high-fructose-corn-syrup-please-get-out-of-us-colas-thanks-america">http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/dear-high-fructo ...</a>

Another ingredient that is showing up in almost everything is soy. Which has been shown to be harmful to the endocrine system in large quantities.
