dailygaming.net — Attorneys for the rock band Metallica filed a lawsuit yesterday against Harmonix and Red Octane claiming their upcoming Guitar Hero III and Rock Band games violated copyright. The band is fearful that album sales will be affected if fans can walk into any gaming store and buy an $80 video game that uses one of their songs.

Yeah, because Metallica is so poor and the band members are starving. They make enough f**king money, anyways, who wants to steal Metallica? They blow.

I've heard this argument thousands of times. Yes, Metallica did some lame stuff about napster but they still put out extremely good music. Don't say they suck because of the napster thing. The music they put out will never change. Oh and BTW. Being in a band myself i found that "Load" and "Reload" were the best examples of Metallica's writing ability. The first four albums were great but really did not show the extent of Metallica's talent. I realize i am in the minority here but the dynamics and overall composure of the songs, i felt was better in those later albums. My .02

Well, if you like metal, you would know that most if not all metal bands were influenced by Metallica.

Metallica as a group are hypocrites. They stole their hit video from another artist way before going after Napster and all these other law suits to cover up the fact that they were found out way before awards night at the MTV VMAs for 1996, that their Best Hard Rock Video for 1996, Until It Sleeps is standing on the shoulders of another less fortunate artist, whom they did not credit properly nor compensate.http://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&v=Iqq3cf9T9 ...
